2 weeks ago CC went through his week of tactical driving. He did well. He earned top driver by 4 hundredths of a second!! I'm glad to know I have a great driver out there, and I know I will hear this over and over again for years, seeing as I'm probably the world's worst backseat driver.
The downfall of this driving course? Shuffle steering....it's driving me crazy. Why can't he just continue to drive the way he learned for over 11 years when he's in a normal (I say civilian) car? This shuffling, sliding around the steering wheel, is getting really annoying. I'm hoping it wears off soon! :)
Anyone understand what I'm going through?!

I hear ya on the backseat driving...Matt HATES it when I tell him what to do in the car. Especially when we visit Seattle! Haha
ReplyDeletehaha! you are NOT alone. I confessed to HF the other day that I do not like his driving one bit anymore. It's jerky, and spastic, and just I don't know. Awful. :)
ReplyDeleteMAKE THAT THREE. I don't know how often he does it when I'm not in the car, but I am almost positive he does it just to bug me when we drive together. That, and take freeway onramps at eleventy-billion miles per hour. Good God!
ReplyDeleteUgh... Send a man through police driving school and he thinks that he can drive however the heck he wants. My husband handles these icy NY winters like no man's business. He scares me half to death! lol
ReplyDeleteHi! Found your blog from A Police Wife. I too am married to a 'christian cop' and really enjoyed reading some of your older posts. We are 4 years into his civilian carrer (did 6yrs as AirForce LEO) I'm sure you are so ready for the academy to be over and get into the groove of the work schedule (or lack there of!!) It's crazy but our guys love it and I wouldn't want it any other way! p.s. I can't stand the way my hubby drives...I think he forgets he's in the family van and not his cruiser!!
